Update…LONG update. December 27, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — blondemusician @ 8:59 pm

Hey friends. Sorry I’m such a slacker on this blog. After my update in Nov. it’s like life was going a hundred miles an hour and didn’t stop until…well…now I guess! Between finals and the entire holiday season there was a lot to do. Finals went well…God was good to me and I was able to pull it out with good grades! That was a very big relief.

There was so much that happened in the past few weeks that I couldn’t possibly tell you about all of it but I’ll just touch on it. We went down to Orlando for Metro’s Bash after break started. that was so much fun! We stayed with the Jones and got to spend lots of time with them which is always amazing. Then things were busy here with several bball games before the winter break and other stuff. then last Monday Ang and I headed to Orlando again for an appointment I had AND because Jage was in town and we wanted to see her. It was so very much fun getting to see her while she’s home from Whales. We had a lot of fun hanging out…i’m so thankful for that time! Here are a couple pictures from the Tuesday when we went to lunch before she left.

Saying goodbye…just for 8 months… :-\ i miss this

(yes…i’m short…i know)

Love you Jage!

So then on Wednesday everyone came down and my whole family had Christmas at Steph and Chris’. We had lots of fun! Prepare for lots of pictures!

Mrs. Jessee helped us start off the morning right by cooking an AMAZING breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes, delicious little potato things, and yeah. it was amazing.

After breakfast, the Caleb and Alec did a little presentation of the Christmas story for us, which was great. Chris then read the actual Christmas story from the Bible, which has been a tradition for years. Then the gifts were distributed and we were off!

Ella bella liked the Santa hat :)              David got some sweet gator stuff

We got lots of fun gifts this year, including a Wii! and lots of other fun stuff.

Ang and me all tuckered out after a long Christmas day.

Then yesterday my dad, david, chris, ang, lindsay, abbott, Hannah masri and I all went to see Valcrie. So that was very fun and then Ang and I hung out with Abbott and Linds along with Steph and Ariel later and all went to Cracker barrel with my fam last night.

Now there is quite a sad ending to this very fun week for me, and I’ll tell you why. Starting last saturday I came down with a fever. Now we’ve all had fevers and it’s normally something that goes away within a couple days. Well, because we had to go to Orlando I just kinda kept advil in me all week to keep the pain off, but the fever never really went away all week. Well long story short, it got worse and worse and by last night i was in bad shape. I went to the doctor this morning and I have… pneumonia. :( ahhh! Thankfully it’s a minor case, but it’s a case non the less. I think hardest thing to hear the doctor say was after my dad said “well she’s a senior and plays basketball” he replied “not anymore she isn’t”. He told me i shouldn’t play again for about a month…which is almost all we have left of the season. I know the Lord is sovereign and has a reason for this and I know I have to trust Him. This one is just killing me. but, I’ll make it through and will consider from now on that too much fun when by body can’t handle much more can have serious consequences.

Well, I hope you all are doing well and had a good Christmas. Have a good New Year and I’d STRONGLY suggest you don’t get pneumonia…it’s not much fun at all.

Love to you all.

Well it’s been a little while so i think i’ll just give a quick update.

things have been busy as usual. Last thursday was our first basketball game…it was so fun! it was a pretty much aweful team and we beat them 54-8…ha but it was a good first game. The school I play for is also renting out our church building so that’s been fun.

In the class where we made our chairs we are now making marionettes. They are due soon and Ang and I both has SO much to do on ours. Here’s a photo of mine so far…it’s obviously not close to being done…I’m still making the joints, finish the face, make the hands and feet, and everything else but here you can kinda see how it will look (and she will be painted with clothes and hair :) ) Right now she is about 25″ tall…

Last night Ang and I went over to Erin and Christian’s appartment and spend the evening with Erin making SUSHI! I had never had it before so Erin had us over and we made food and talked for hours and it was SO SO much fun! Erin is by far one of my favorite people. She’s simply wonderful :) Anyways, here are a few pictures from our evening :)

Well, that’s all for now…gotta get ready for a rehearsal for a christmas thing for our church and then off to another girls bonfire tonight! yay!

Smell that? Smells like FALL…ahhh November 3, 2008

Well, I’m way late. I’m sorry. Just when I thought I’d have more time to post consistently things got INSANE. So…I’ll give you a summary of everything that’s been going on. Prepare yourself for a ton of pictures…

Celebration North was two weeks ago…or three…or something like that. IT was amazing. God was so very faithful to fill the weekend with His incredible presence and power. Highlights: Spending an entire morning with Todd Twinning writing a song, playing in the worship band, seeing old and new friends, seeing some of my friends get filled with the Holy Spirit, Tall Tree and GL concerts, and ahhh so much more.

Here’s a couple photos of our Tall Tree concert that other people got:

The next weekend Steph PINO and Mr. Pino came up!! Mr. Pino has brought each of his kids up to Gainesville to Homecoming weekend for their senior trips. This year was Stephanie’s. And each time we’ve had the joy to be able to share the experience with them and go with them tailgating and walking around campus. Stephanie was so fun to watch because she would get so excited over every little thing. It was also her first Gator game so it was so fun. I also got to go to the game! Here are some pictures:

We started off going to Chick-fil-a for breakfast and then walked around campus before the game started to get the whole experience. SO fun! It was Mr. P and Steph along with Ang and me.

We ran into several people from our church, including Christian and ERIN!!! They’re wonderful.

*Erin and me*:

After the game we all went back to the Coursons and hung out for the rest of the evening there and at Starbucks.

We loved swinging and talking on the hammock…

Sitting by the fountain outside of Starbucks…

Ok so…then later the next week we had a girls bonfire night!! it was a lot of fun…the weather was BEAUTIFUL and cold that night :)

The girls…

And this past weekend was filled with lots of things. My birthday was on Thursday…it was fun and pretty uneventful though Ang and I did go out to Starbucks with Tyler, brandon, Stevo and Karyn which was very fun :) Friday was Holloween. We don’t normally do much for that but this year our family went over and spent the evening with the Coursons…SO much fun! It was filled with good food, fun costumes and corn hole!! Brandon and I went about 10 or 12 games undefeated!!!!! it was so great…until we were finally beat in the last game of the night…haha. Oh well. then Saturday was Karyn’s brithday party which was great! Ellie was home for the weekend :)

Well that’s all for now…I need to go work on homework. I’ll update again SOON…I promise! :)

Until next time…I leave you with the beautiful reality that Thanksgiving is only 24 DAYS AWAY. Oh? Oh? Do I hear Christmas music about to bust out? I think i do :)

Sing it out…Jesus is alive October 9, 2008

Sooooo it’s coming to another weekend. The weeks seem to be flying by…it’s like just when I get used to it being the beginning of one week it’s the beginning of the next one! Crazy.

Well on Wednesday we had the critique on our chairs in our sculpting class…Ang and I FINALLY finished our chairs (we’re taking the class together, incase you’re just hearing about it :) and got pretty good reviews, which was very exciting and a serious relief. Here’s my finished product:

It’s kinda hard to tell in this picture, but the back of my chair is actually two different pieces…the front one is the cut out of the guitar and the back is just solid. I built like a little trim around it to give space between the two pieces (so it’s kinda like a box with a guitar shaped opening) and am thinking about maybe adding some back lighting behind the open part so it gives it a cool glow. We’ll see…right now it’s still at the school.

Today while I was waiting for Ang to finish monitoring at the Art Gallery at school, I had just gotten out of class and was sitting in a big hallway out at SFC. I watched as what seemed to be normal looking thunderstorm roll in and turned into a not so normal thunderstorm! When it blew in it all of the sudden got incredibly severe and lighting was EVERYWHERE and so I decided to go to where Ang was in the gallery (which she had just finished in) So we walk back outside and the weather was simply horrible. All swirly and was raining so hard that i seirously couldn’t see a hundred feet away when looking out. So we went into a building and sat as lightening was very near causing people to jump and scream…haha. Then come to find we were under haile warnings and there was actually a tornado just a couple miles north of us! But thankfully the worst it did to the school so far is cause the campus to lose power. And we made it home safe and sound. And that my friends, is your random story for the day.

Well this weekend should be VERY fun. Friday ELLIE comes home…I cannot wait to see her. And then Saturday Ellie and I are going to the Gator vs. LSU game, which i’m totally stoked about. Then Sunday is mine and Ang’s joined birthday party…but I’ll post more about that later :)

Anyways, I’ll update again soon…as for now I have some things to do and then a basketball meeting tonight. So until next time, I leave you with another photo of Ang and me…this time at Moe’s with david…except he’s not in this picture…so yeah. Bye guys :)

New look! October 2, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — blondemusician @ 4:40 am

Hey friends!

So I thought I’d change up my blog a little. You like the new look? Ok…I’m really serious this time…I’m REALLY wanting to update more faithfully! I’m going to try. So if you keep checking back there just might be something new. haha.

So life has been fun and crazy and busy as normal. My chair I’ve been building for my sculpting class is almost done! I’m excited. I’ll post a pic when it’s done :) But school is well. David is coming up this weekend and we’re going to spend the weekend practicing for Tall Tree and just hanging out! I’m SO excited. I just really miss that sister of mine in Orlando… :-\ I better see you soon, Steph!

ok…so…I can’t HELP but mention my dear friends Rayna and Sam and how they’re officially COURTING!

Rayna and Sam, I can’t tell you guys how excited I am for you and can’t wait to see what the Lord has for ya’ll and what His plans are. Regardless, I love and respect you guys and am praying for you during this new season of your lives. I am SO VERY thankful for both of your friendships! Fun times ahead, for sure :)

I love going to banks together and geting lollypops from unusually happy bank people. (haha)

I love taking walks on the beach and sitting in the lifeguard’s chair and taking pictures

I can’t believe Celebration is so close!!! I’m very very excited!!

Well, I should get going to bed. I’ll leave you with some crazy photos of ang and me on our way to dinner when in Orlando a couple weekends ago. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I’ll hopefully update again soon. But until then, I leave you with these..

Yes…the green gum is nothing other than Orbit…i know you were wondering. ;)

Randomness September 2, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — blondemusician @ 6:59 pm

Well, school is back and things show no sign of slowing down at ALL in the next couple of months. I’m taking four classes at Santa Fe College right now, very much liking all of them so far! (well, as much as you can enjoy school :) ) I’m taking a sculpting class with Ang, which really is a very fun class so far…first project: I have to build a chair! (full size, mind you). I love building things, especially when I get to build with wood, hammers and other tools and creativity. Should be a fun project.

I’m planning on playing basketball this year too, which will add another busy thing five days a week to my already busy schedule. And on top of it all, I’m gaining more and more guitar students, which i’m SO excited about. Though it just about fills every ounce of my week up, i love it. Teaching is such a joy..can be hard at times, but a joy nontheless.

In other news…(haha) our (Tall Tree) EP is coming along quite nicely! The recording phase is drawing to a close as we send things off to be mixed. The Lord has been so gracious through this whole process and can’t wait to hear the finished product! Also, last saturday was the FIRST Florida football game of the season! I got to go with some friends and we had a wonderful time. I’ve gotta say…there’re not many things that are more fun that being in the Swamp seeing our Florida boys play! ahh! so fun. Here are a couple pictures (which I actually stole from Ellie and brandon’s pictures :) )

Ellie and me walking to the stadium. :-D

Brandon and Tyler! (It was pouring while we walked there…thankfully there was an umbrella……for ellie and me ;) )

Florida football, baby…

Does this even need an explanation? Tebow….*amazing*

Well that’s all for now. I would like to say that I miss my SISTER Stephanie so much. Steph, random things kept reminding me of you today and it made me so happy/sad. Love you!!

Until next time….

I’m back! :) August 21, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — blondemusician @ 8:51 pm

Well, since it’s been officially a very long time since i’ve updated…i thought I’d do just that…post.

Wow life has been carazy since I last posted on here. The past few weeks have been especially exciting! And God has continued to show His faithfulness in so many ways. Our band has picked up progress rather quickly and are getting ready to head down to orlando tomorrow for a second weekend of recording, which i’m excited about! I’m also pretty much way excited that I get to see Steph and chris and the kiddos again…(even though I saw steph a couple days ago… :) ) along with other wonderful friends.

Other events…the OLYMPICS have been wonderful this year…i’ve been completely into them…i’m sure one day i’ll look back and shake my head at the fact that I’ve spent hours lounging on my couch often with a coke icee in hand watching our americans perform beautifully ;) My favorites this year were Nastia and Shawn in gymnastics, our women’s beach volleyball team Misty May and Kerri Walsh..and of course, Phelps in swimming!

On a sadder note, my best friend Ellie moved away last weekend for school. Thankfully she’s only in lakeland…but it still seems so far away. The other night we were so pleasently surprised as I got a call at 12:30am (yes, we were up) and ellie said “go to your front door” so I did and there she was…i’m pretty sure I’ve never been quite as happy to see her than in that moment, even if she has only been gone a few days! (she came back to get a fridge) So yes…I miss her. and love her dearly!

Well, I need to go clean some. I hope you are all well and staying dry in this nasty weather that Fay has on inconsiderately (is that a word?) brought about!

i’ll leave you with a photo…

ellie and me

Well, it’s the end of day 3 in Orlando…it’s going by too fast! We’ve had a lot of fun so far…I love spending time here…especially with my sister Stephanie and Chris and the kids…they’re pretty much some of the best, there’s really not much more to say about that. ;) On Sunday we came into town and met up with Coral and Tobin Watler, James Tschanen, and Abbott for a while and had dinner at Mellow Mushroom. It was great catching up with them! All of us then met Lindsay and Emily at Cranes Roost for a little while. That area is beautiful! Then yesterday we hung around the house and hung out and then Steph, Chris, the kids, Ang, David and I all went out for some American Pie pizza! *amazing*. We also went over to Lake Bosse to take some band pics (for our band Tall Tree)…ended up having the entire neighborhood watch come out and ask us what we were doing (there’s apparently been some recent crime stuff going on)…it was pretty hilarious! We told them we grew up in that neighborhood and were just taking a few pics…they were like “ok….”. Yeah. Good stuff.

ToDAY we met up with Mandy at Ikea! It was my first time there so it was definitely an experience! Very cool place. And it was wonderful catching up with Mandy! I’d been a while. Love you mandy!

Well, I think we may start watching a movie or something…maybe i’ll update later on in the week.

Here are a few pictures from the past couple days…

A favorite…(Thanks so much Steph!)

Sweet dreams :)

It’s been a while! July 11, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — blondemusician @ 1:19 am

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve updated, so I figured it’s about time I do :)

Things have been busy and crazy, but I’m so enjoying summer! As many would know, Caleb and Alec have been here all week. We’ve had a great time! Except that I came down with some virus on Tuesday that has pretty much taken me out of the game for the past couple of days :-\ But, today I’ve felt a little bit better and was able to join Ang and the boys for a trip to the museum and Target! It was a lot of fun…it was my first time to the museum so I really enjoyed it.

Here’s a photo of me and the boys by the giant shark jaws..ahh! (I’m sure ang will be posting more pics from today on her blog)

Here’s Alec and me drinking our icee’s at Target :)

Well tomorrow some friends arrive to stay with us for Stephen Courson’s big 21st birthday party on Saturday. Should be fun! Then on Sunday Ang, Caleb, Alec and I head off to Orlando!! yay! I’m sure the boys will be oh so happy to see thier wonderful mommy and daddy (as will we :) ) I’m so excited about spending a few days with Steph and Chris, along with getting to see a few others as well (like MANDY :-D ) And then after a few days in Orlando we head to Ormond to spend some time with our friends there! So, a full week and a half ahead of us, for sure.

Well, i should get going. Hope you all (whoever reads this blog) have a great night!
