Mandy Reel? June 20, 2008

I would just like to take this opportunity to share my great wonder and concern as to WHERE Mandy Reel has gone? Has she dropped off the face of the earth? She’s one hard lady to get a hold of.

Some may wonder why I ask this question or why I would wonder so greatly about Mandy’s very well being. I’ll give you a little brief history. Back in the day we used to email back in forth (Yeah yeah I know she’s old and all…but she was gracious enough to respond to my emails anyway…the emails of a youngen Well, clearly life has come between us and the email that I sent her…..7 months ago?….still has not been returned and I just thought maybe there would be an explanation. Although every time I see her she does mention how she has that email…from 7 months ago…still in her inbox. So I’m sure there’s a very good explanation. Just the other week, however, I thought to myself “I guess it’s time to resort to snail mail!” Yes, that’s right, I mailed Mandy a letter…the kind that I put in an envelope and put a stamp on it. Still no response though. Now I’m sure the life of a wife and a mother of one is taxing (and I respect all of you wives and mothers…seriously)…and i know keeping up with her BLOG must just be right next to unbearable…

and regularly feeding her daughter sand must be pretty time consuming…

but I’m still left to wonder…if I’ll ever have the great joy and privilege of seeing “Mandy Reel” appear in my inbox once again…to experience the sweet delight of knowing Mandy Reel would return MY email…me, that young girl in Gainesville. wow. So that brings me back to my question…

Where ARE you, Mandy Reel? 

Nothing is too difficult for God…nothing. June 2, 2008

Wow. so much to update on. I think for the sake of keeping things interesting, I’ll just try to sum things up.

Vacation was amazing and refreshing. I can honestly say that there are few places I’d rather be than to be with my family. We had way too much fun for our own good, I think. Most of you probably read Steph’s blog, but almost every night consisted of Wii compititions, very good (mostly unhealthy) food, and lots of laughs. Every day consisted of hours by the pool, more good food, cokes, movies, and whatever else. I got to be with my precious niece and nephews, siblings, and even friends. It was very very fun.

This past weekend Todd Twinning along with Abbott came up to serve our church by working with our worship team and other teams within the church. Friday night we had a worship night, which was so refreshing. Saturday Todd had a meeting with the worship team which was very very good and helpful. God was really at work…I’ve never seen our worship team so excited and eager to be a part. He also met with our prophecy team and Care group leaders. It was a very good and fun day. Service this morning was also excellent…I could go into the details but I’ll just say this: God was at work today.

Well, while Ang and my friends were gone to NA last week I kept myself busy by completely re-doing my room. I had most of my stuff for it but the paint. so, since most of my friends were gone, and the friends that were still here couldn’t come help, I tackled it on my own, which took a little longer. but I did get it done! Here are a few pictures. (they’re not the best, but you can atleast get an idea )

well that’s it for now. I have basketball camp this week…exciting! hopefully I can update a little later. Oh yeah…and I got my drivers license last week…finally. Well have a great start of the week!
