Well, I can’t believe it’s a new week. Last week was insane…tiring…insanely fun.

Despite the fact that it started off with my mom badly throwing her back out on Monday and me coming down with a stomach virus on Tuesday, the rest of the week was great! On Wednesday the Sutters arrived and were here until Saturday. It’s sad to think that it had been years since we’ve had the chance to spend that much time together, but it was certainly a lot of fun! We made many new memories and did lots of stuff, and well, were as crazy as always. One day I had school to do still so Ang took them to the Harn museum of art then we all went ot the park for a picnic. That was sweet. We discovered that Heather has some serious upper body strength and can hold her self up on a pull-up bar way longer than I can! haha. We played an insane game of scrabble, took walks, sang classic “PDI” songs, walked down memory lane with old Metro Bash videos, stayed up late watching random movies and posing while ang drew strange pictures of us, and so much more. Love you sutter girlies! It was wonderful being with you all again :) Miss you all already!!

On Saturday Steph, Chris, kids, and David came in. We all  went to Conastogas for lunch before the Sutters headed home. Then my family went home and hung out and David, Chris, my dad, Ang and I went up to the building where we played music and practiced some songs. Sunday was Mother’s day and the Jessee’s and Ann joined us. Ella was dedicated at our church!! What fun. The whole family went out to eat and then went home for dessert! What a memorable day. I love my siblings and whole family so much…we’re so so blessed. And I can’t help but throw in that I have the MOST ADORABLE neice and nephews in the world. (not that I’m bias or anything ;) )

Here are a few pics from the weekend – I’m sure Ang will putting more on her blog:

*long time friends* :)

Posing miscommunication?…..eh, I think we’re just crazy.

“Tickle Heather!!”

Ok, well, I need to get back to finishing this school…I can’t take it much longer! Have a beautiful day!

“Want to walk in a manner that’s worthy of the gospel” May 2, 2008

This morning I was doing my devotions and was reading many different passeges in different books, many having to do with salvation. As I read about having faith and trusting in Him and what a true Christian should look like and walking that out daily, I was struck with such a sense of conviction in my heart. Realizing how much I’ve been dependent on myself and my own strength lately (which never gets me far…at all) and have been so consumed with school and other things that so often I lose focus of what is the most important thing in my life. As I was reading about being a child of God and how (said in Romans 9) that people aren’t saved by being children of the flesh but instead children of God. I can’t help but think and wonder why God has chosen me! ”So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. ” (Romans 9:18) He’s had mercy on me! Why? I will never ever understand it. But today I had this renewed thankfulness in my heart at this fact. I want to walk this narrow path…I want to serve the One who has so mercifully saved me when I was running the opposite way. God is so good…He is faithful to hear my cry…He is faithful to answer when I come knocking. What an incredible God we serve.

Well, I’m done with my college classes and just have my FLVS (online) class to finish. I’ll be done by the end of next week though…since I have to be. ha. So I’m pretty much, after this post, going into math lock down. ahhhh.

Oh before I go, yesterday I was looking through some old pictures and found this hilarious old picture of Abbott and me…

Yes, we would often sit stroller by stroller and watch the classic Lake Bosse basketball games in our driveway. Those were the days. ;)
